    Earthquake in Turkey

    The Eastern of Turkey was hit by a 7.2 Magnitude Earthquake, at 10:41 UTC, on 23 October 2011, located at 38.628 0 N, 43.4860 E.

    The Epicenter was near the village of Tabanli, North of Van City.

    There is not information on remote village yet.

    Aziz TA1E reported at IARU R1 that, “Teams are on the way to the area”.

    Turkey’s hams are using the frequency 3,500 KHz LSB. When Teams are arriving at the disaster area, they think about using the CoA‘s frequency.
