Hams In Space is Presenting at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC)

Hey everyone! I need some help getting the word out, particularly to everyone in the Kansas City Area. This is an Amateur Radio Event, but it is being tailored for non-hams as well:
On July 20th, the Hams in Space Team will be giving their Satellite Presentation at the University of Missouri, Kansas City’s Communiversity. Communiversity is the University’s Community Education Program available to anyone from the community who wishes to attend.
    7:00 PM, Friday, July 20, 2012
Communiversity; University of Missouri, Kansas City
    Flarsheim Hall, Room 260,
    5110 Rockhill Road
    Kansas City, Missouri

We’re preparing this presentation to be enjoyed not only by Licensed Hams but also to members of the general community as a means of putting Amateur Radio’s best foot forward, through information about at least one of the fun and amazing things that can be done with Ham Radio!
You will need to pre-register in order to attend: The University requires a $9.00 fee, plus a $3.00 registration fee to attend Communiversity classes. Some of you may be wondering, "Why should I pay $12.00 to see a presentation that I might see given at my local ham club meeting for free?" The answer is simple: The University provides comfortable, state of the art class rooms, with all the visual aid equipment and resources provided. Additionally, by attending this class you would be helping support an outstanding community education service available to all of us in the Kansas City area. The Hams in Space Team does not receive any of this money. It all goes to support the program.
The University offers five different ways to register, including Mail, In-Person, by Telephone, by 24 by 7 Fax, and On-Line. I prefer the On-Line Class Registration as it allows you to also browse the Communiversity Class Catalog, and sign up for e-mail new and information about upcoming classes and events. It’s also fast, and very convenient! The UMKC Communiversity Web Site is: http://www.umkc.edu/commu
For more information about the UMKC Communiversity, or to obtain a copy of their current class catalog, go to their web site at: http://www.umkc.edu/commu, or give them a call at (816) 235-1448. You may also contact their office at:
Office of Student Involvement - Communiversity
    University of Missouri Kansas City
    Student Union, Suite 320
    5100 Cherry Street
    Kansas City, Missouri 64110
If you plan to attend this presentation, please register early. If the anticipated attendance exceeds the capacity of the presently scheduled class room, the University may be able to make arrangements to move the presentation to a larger class room.
So spread the word to your friends; Hams and Non-Hams alike! Register to attend the Hams In Space Presentation at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Communiversity, and help put Amateur Radio’s Best Foot Forward while at the same time supporting an Outstanding Community Service!
