    War Of 1812 Special Event Station This Weekend


    W2N and CG3B July 1st, 2012
    Special Event station for Sunday July 1, 2012
    Amateur Radio Details:

    2 HF stations at Lower River Road & Pletcher Road (Lewiston Senior Center Parking Lot)
    1 HF station at the Fort Niagara Lighthouse
    2M (146.520) between 2 USA sites & Canadian (Fort George)
    On-Air start time for USA stations: 8am
    Start Time for Canadian station: 9am
    200 Years of Friendship Celebration between the USA and Canada.
    We will open the Fort Niagara Lighthouse and a station at the point where the British landed in 1812 at Stella Niagara - Lower River Road & Pletcher Road, Lewiston, NY. We will be operate in conjunction with the Niagara Peninsula Amateur Radio Club operating out of Fort George. Their special event call sign is CG3B. All stations will be running HF and UHF/VHF to communicate between each other. We will have a QSL card for the Lighthouse contacts and the British landing point contacts. In addition we will pointing all our contacts to the other stations giving them the opportunity to get a bonus card with all 3 call signs on.
